Mom’s of the Bible

The bible is filled with many stories that discuss the different gifts that God has given mom’s and how he used those gifts. We remember Eve as the lady who ate the apple but we forget that she was the first mother. We think about her kids and how much they fought and don’t even stop to think about what motherhood was like then. No blogs, no parenting books, no outside help or support. In fact, no one else around to tell you if you are doing it right or wrong. What about Mary or Martha? Two cousins that happened to be pregnant at the same time. God had a plan for each of their children. One would pave the way and tell others of what was to come while the other child would be the savior of the world. Every single one of those mom’s was gifted differently because they would serve a different purpose. God does the same thing today. He gift’s every single one of our mom’s differently because he knows that their home situation, their calling and the plans he has for them is a different calling. Sometimes we think that different is bad. The truth is that different is God showing us that we are unique and each serve a purpose.

To all of our mom’s. Thank you. Thank you for what you do for us. Thank you for raising us, caring for us and let’’e be honest. Thank you for loving us when we did not act in a way that deserved it.
